Herb School: Oh You Green Nine

Spring is here! Fresh green shoots are sprouting from the earth everywhere: a invitation from nature to nourish our souls after winter and get our metabolism going. Together, we will prepare the spring dish of our ancestors using fresh wild herbs. We will learn about the long-standing tradition, various recipes, and details about the plants: How can I recognize them? When and where can I collect them and perhaps even cultivate them? What powers do they hold? Other green dishes will also be featured over the weekend. Additionally, we will make a seasoning paste that, following the old tradition of preserving, lasts for months and makes instant vegetable broth unnecessary. Everyone can take a sample home.
