Student Liberation, Town Hall Storming, and Women's Carnival

The Tettnang fools know no bounds during the Carnival season. On Gumpiger Donnerstag (Fat Thursday), there is an endless program of festivities. The students, in particular, can hardly wait for the day. Starting at 9:30 AM, they will be liberated from the school buildings by the Narrenzunft Tettnang, along with music bands and fanfare groups. Together, everyone will march into the city center to witness the storming of the town hall and the lowering of the Hopfennarr (Hops Fool). In the evening at 8 PM, the Women's Ball will kick off in the sports hall of Schillerschule (Weinstraße, Tettnang). DJs and ragtag bands will provide the entertainment.
