New research on the history of Schienen and St. Genesius

January 21, 2026, 7:00 PM in the Schienen Hall New Research on the History of Schienen and St. Genesius Doris Schuller M.A. (Medieval Archaeology / University of Tübingen) is researching the history of the monastic community in Schienen for her doctoral thesis. She will present her project, which has already led to a bachelor's thesis and involved geophysical prospecting conducted by the State Office for Monument Preservation. Vanessa Ziegelin B.A. will present the results of her bachelor's thesis on the architectural history of the Church of St. Genesius, followed by a report from Dr. Natalie Pickartz, specialist for geophysical prospecting at the State Office for Monument Preservation, on the preliminary results.
