The barefoot cellist from the Alps, who touches hearts all over the world, will make a single stop in Austria as part of his world tour – on December 3, 2026, at the Wiener Stadthalle / Hall F! Born on May 4, 1988, in the peaceful hills of Emmental in Switzerland, Jodok Vuille grew up not only on an organic farm but also surrounded by rhythm, nature, and silence. It was in this simple tranquility that his passion for music was born. At the age of six, he picked up his first cello... and never put it down again.
Encouraged by his family and mentors who immediately recognized his innate musicality, Jodok completed a formal education and received his bachelor's degree from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in 2011. Determined to deepen his art further, he subsequently completed two master's programs and earned his coveted concert diploma. However, long before his graduation, he did something that few classical musicians ever dared to do – he handcrafted his own cello. This instrument, made in 2006/07, still resonates under his fingers today.
For many years, Jodok toured Europe – as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral musician, and teacher. But a turning point came when he began sharing his musical soul with the world through social media. Performing barefoot in breathtaking natural landscapes, he combined cinematic visuals with classical and modern cello covers, striking a deeper chord – emotion beyond all borders. Under the name "JODOKCELLO," his art exploded online. With over 13 million followers on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook, Jodok became one of Switzerland's most well-known content creators – a global musician who brought the cello to Gen Z and far beyond.
His journey led him to collaborations with big names like Mercedes-Benz, Swatch Group, and FC Barcelona, as well as virtual and physical performances with stars like Alan Walker, IL VOLO, Lindsey Stirling, Teddy Swims, Il Divo, Plácido Domingo Jr., and many more. The Qatari royal family personally invited him to perform in Doha, and in 2024, he was awarded the World Influencer Award in Cannes. But Jodok is more than a viral phenomenon. He is a visionary – a modern bard who brings classical music to the people without filters or pretensions. Daily, his music is streamed millions of times by fans around the world, each note carrying the message he lives by: "Music is not just sound. It is connection. It is presence. It is truth." And as he walks barefoot – sometimes over mountains, sometimes across world stages – he always carries within him the spirit of the Alps, the honesty of the earth, and the soul of a cello that was never meant solely for closed concert halls.
