Vernissage: In the tavern, I feel at home.

Old Taverns in Ried and Surroundings The exhibition showcases photos of old (abandoned) taverns by Karo Pernegger and addresses the issue of the decline of taverns – it also highlights the numerous inns that once existed in the city of Ried. The foundation for the exhibition is, on one hand, the collection of the Innviertler Volkskundehaus Museum, and on the other hand, the report on the beer journey through Ried, undertaken by four members of the singing society in 1913. They took on the challenging task of visiting and evaluating all 45 inns, wine houses, and coffee houses that existed in Ried at that time. Complemented by anecdotes, objects, and historical views, one gains a vivid impression of the tavern scene in Ried during that era.
