Cantanima - Styrian State Youth Choir

The Styrian State Youth Choir Cantanima was founded in 2004 by the Choir Association of Styria and brings together enthusiastic and particularly talented young people aged 16 to 26 from across the state. Under the direction of Sebastian Meixner, the choir presents demanding literature ranging from classical masterpieces to modern premieres, with precise execution and great tonal balance, but above all, in line with the choir's name, "sung with soul." Numerous international awards testify to the level of this exceptional ensemble, which was most recently honored multiple times in Prague in 2024. For Mother's Day 2026, Cantanima offers a colorful program of sacred choral music by great composers, exciting contemporary works, and pop and gospel arrangements.
