Multimedia Show – Canary Islands Spectacular footage of the volcanic eruption on La Palma showcases the formation of the ancient "Islands of the Blessed": We witness the opening of a new eruption fissure, as well as the rare overpressure explosions at the crater. A special fireworks display also marked the hundredth anniversary of the "Dancing Devils." Of course, we experience the famous Carnival of Tenerife and various Romerías – unforgettable festivals that partly have their origins in the religion of the Guanches. We discover traces of the Stone Age indigenous people and their sanctuaries. On Hierro, we not only see the primeval laurel trees and the "End of the World," traces of gigantic landslides, but also experience the breath of the earth – a threatening snort. We encounter the Spanish royal couple. And the traveler has the opportunity to give a queen a kiss on the hand. Away from the hotel complexes, there are lonely beaches and a wide variety of natural landscapes: deserts, volcanoes, cloud forests, and mountains, all seen from spectacular new perspectives. Special opportunities arose as the speaker has been visiting the Canary Islands for over 50 years.
