He — a creature of flight, always on the move, driven by a fear he cannot admit. She — in search of security, belonging, and a counterpart that remains. Two people who touch, entangle, lose — and cannot let go of each other. On a Canary Island, exposed to the relentless sun, they rub against each other. This love is a decision. A nevertheless. A now more than ever. But how much friction can closeness withstand? And how do we escape the patterns that sit deep in our skin: the hardness expected of men, the conformity learned by women? Nancy Hünger writes about shame and pride, alienation and attraction. About the impossible and the nevertheless. The event will be moderated by Dr. Anton Knittel, director of the literature house. Nancy Hünger, born in 1981, studied Fine Arts at the Bauhaus University Weimar and then dedicated herself entirely to literature. Six volumes of poetry and prose have already been published by AZUR / Voland & Quist, the latest being "4 Uhr kommt der Hund" (2020). In 2023, she was awarded the Anke Bennholdt-Thomsen Poetry Prize. In 2024, she received the scholarship for the Rainer-Malkowski Prize. Nancy Hünger lives in Tübingen, where she leads the Studio for Literature and Theater.
