Wine, Hiking & Enjoyment in the Löwensteiner Mountains: 5 Stations with Wine from 14 Winemakers & Regional Specialties. A tractor shuttle assists with elevation changes. Enjoying wine against a breathtaking backdrop, wine over mountains and valleys, the culinary Wine Hiking Event in the Löwensteiner Mountains offers an impressive experience. The mountain town of Löwenstein, an award-winning wine region in the southern wine area, is located on the edge of the Schwäbisch-Fränkischer Wald Nature Park, where the wooded heights transition into the gentle hilly landscape of the Weinsberger Tal - from this "viewing balcony," the gaze sweeps far over the vineyards and the Breitenauer See to the ruins of Weibertreu at the valley entrance. At five enjoyment stations amidst the vines, various wineries from the Weinsberger Tal, together with local gastronomy, pamper the participants. Each station offers seating to enjoy wine and culinary delights with the best views. The complete wine hike with all stations spans about 5 km. A tractor shuttle between the stations and a bus shuttle from the S-Bahn are available.

Wine Hiking in Varied Landscapes The wine hike starts at the "lower gate" at the Freihaus Löwenstein, from where one can enjoy the view over the Weinsberger Tal. The Freihausplatz at the city wall, with its half-timbered architecture, invites visitors to linger and offers a panorama of the surrounding vineyards. The route leads through the gardens along the old Löwenstein city wall and through sheep pastures downhill into the vineyards, where a break can be taken at the next station. The journey continues through the vineyards into the "valley" of the wine tour. A snack for the next leg is advisable, as the path goes uphill again. From Löwenstein's Wolfertsberg, there is a wide view towards Löwenstein and down into the valley. Through the forest, one reaches the last enjoyment point at the former Löwenstein quarry, where one can look down into the opening Weinsberger Tal.

Exquisite Wines from Top Producers At the 5 enjoyment stations, wines from fourteen winemakers from the Weinsberger Tal are served - from classics to exquisite late harvests. The wineries of the Weinkollegium Weinsberger Tal are highly decorated: the golden lion for the best Lemberger, recommendations in Eichelmann, the federal honor prize in gold from the DLG, or the German Red Wine Award. On Sundays and Mondays, there is a 6th enjoyment station with coffee and cake accompanied by the music club.

This also applies to the idyllic districts of Hößlinsülz, Reisach, and Hirrweiler.
