London Philharmonic Orchestra

Arabella Steinbacher is considered one of the leading violinists of her generation. Her repertoire includes works from the Classical and Romantic periods to central compositions of the 20th century. Engagements regularly take her to prominent orchestras in Europe, Asia, and the USA, including the Dresden Philharmonic, the Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig, orchestras in Seoul and Taiwan, as well as the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. A focus of her current projects is performances of the violin concerto composed for her by Georges Lentz. Her discography with Pentatone includes, among other things, a celebrated Mozart cycle, recordings of Bach and Pärt, as well as Piazzolla's and Vivaldi's "Four Seasons." Since its founding in 1932, the London Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) has been internationally celebrated as one of the great orchestras. "Our goal is to allow the modern world to partake in wonders through the power of orchestral music," is the mission statement. And it seems to be working: the LPO is among the most streamed orchestras worldwide, and everyone knows and listens to it – also thanks to the countless film soundtracks for blockbusters like "The Lord of the Rings."
