(h)änne and dänne. The Untersee as an Art Space

Berlingen, Steckborn, Gaienhofen, Hemmenhofen

The Untersee communities of Berlingen, Gaienhofen, and Steckborn share a common history. This cross-border aspect is to be recalled and revitalized through contemporary art. From May 1 to September 27, 23 works by 15 artists will be displayed in the three communities, selected by a professional jury from 116 applications. The vision: to bring to life the connections between both shores through art projects. All works are presented along public paths and are accessible at any time. The inspiring pieces will be documented through information via QR codes, motion sensors, and a accompanying brochure. Guided hikes and performances on the ship are intended to deepen the relationships between the "Hänne" and the "Dänne." The association "(h)änne und dänne: The Untersee as an Art Space" is supported by the Thurgau Cultural Foundation and many other patrons and sponsors.
