Schwetzingen SWR Festival: Be Wild!

It will be lively at this concert for young and old by the Signum Quartet! From classical works to pop and rock songs, the program offers music without restrictions. Everything that is wild, passionate, and energetic will be heard at this concert: extremely powerful, boundary-breaking music that sometimes seems completely out of control. Such a "wild" musical expression can create surprising connections – for example, between the rock classic "You Really Got Me" and a fiery final movement from a string quartet by Antonín Dvořák. The musicians of the Signum Quartet seamlessly combine classical works with captivating arrangements of well-known pop and rock songs. The Schwetzingen Residence Ensemble not only brings its classical virtuosity but also experiences from collaborations with bands like Die Fantastischen Vier and Die Toten Hosen. In conversation with the audience, the four musicians explore the "rocky" similarities between different styles and sound worlds. What attitudes of the composers lie behind their rebellious works?
