Open-Air Family Concert on Asparagus Saturday with Members of the SWR Symphony Orchestra and SWR Presenter Jasmin Bachmann

Horn, trumpet, trombone, and tuba are the brass instruments in a symphony orchestra. But who is particularly suited for which role in the music? Who gets to play the heroine, who the villain, and who takes on the love scene? In this concert on Asparagus Saturday, members of the SWR Symphony Orchestra will introduce the instruments along with their equipment and invite you on a time travel journey from the cow horn to today’s modern instruments. There will be plenty of opportunities to guess along: Since when have brass instruments existed? How do you produce a sound from a brass tube? And what do a garden hose and a watering can have to do with it all? Those who wish can sing along to the popular canon "Brother Jacob" in a special version and celebrate and dance together with Hamburg boatmen. A drummer will also join in and take us on a wild chase over hills and valleys. With kind support from FUCHS SE. Age recommendation: from 5 years old.
