Green Grass

Green Grass is a duo from Carinthia that was founded in the summer of 2014 around a cozy campfire by Martin Jost and Lisi Rainer, dedicating themselves entirely to acoustic music. With two-part harmonies and classic country instruments (guitar, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, double bass), Green Grass plays songs from folk, country, bluegrass, and pop, as well as many original compositions. In October 2025, the band released their first album, "Looking For The Sun," which features only original songs. Their music can best be categorized in the American Folk genre. With English lyrics, they tell stories that are sometimes more, sometimes less critical, or simply "paint pictures." Green Grass performs live unplugged. Martin Jost plays guitar, sings, and plays banjo, harmonica, and mandolin, while Lisi Rainer plays double bass, sings, plays guitar, and harmonica.
