Matthias Erzberger was an important political figure in Germany. The museum and guided tour tell the story of his life and work. Matthias Erzberger was an important political figure at the transition from the German Empire to the Weimar Republic. To keep alive the memory of this energetic Swabian, who was born in Buttenhausen in 1875, a memorial was established in his birthplace in 2004 by the House of History Baden-Württemberg and the city of Münsingen. Media installations, audio and film documents vividly illustrate the circumstances of the time.
