Salon Rouge presents: She was more than a singer. She was more than an actress, writer, poet. She was: Knef. With a smoky voice and clear stance, she wrote songs that were not meant to please - but to resonate. She sang about life, aging, pain, pride, love, and disillusionment. HONEST. UNCOMFORTABLE. TOUCHING. TIMELESS. Born in the ruins of a torn world, she became a voice of longing and escape. Her life was a balancing act - between glamour and gray veil, between Berlin and Hollywood, between hope and downfall. And yet she always remained herself. A woman who did not want to please, but had to be heard. With this evening, we pay tribute to Hildegard Knef, 100 years later. We tell her story - in songs, in words, in memories.
