The weaving house in the Lauresham Open-Air Laboratory is the central place for textile production. Here, all steps up to the finished garment can be demonstrated. But how was the weaving house in the open-air laboratory actually (re)constructed? What do we know about textile production back then? And what answers can experimental archaeology provide in this context?

Join us on a journey through early medieval textile craftsmanship and discover connections to the here and now. After all, our modern clothing also goes through various production steps – just not in front of our eyes, but somewhere in the globalized world. How can sustainability be achieved in this context?
