## German Mill Day in Ottenhöfen & Seebach ### Hiking and Enjoying the Scenery from Mill to Mill **German Mill Day in the Achertal Valley** On Whit Monday, **May 25, 2026**, the Achertal Valley will be celebrating German Mill Day. In Ottenhöfen, numerous historic mills and farms will open their doors and invite visitors **from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.** to tours, demonstrations, and regional delicacies. In the spa gardens, visitors can look forward to a varied program featuring brass band music, culinary specialties, a wine stand, and activities for children (face painting, carousel). For the first time, there will also be a **Mill Day Rally** for the whole family. A special highlight is an **open-air photo exhibition by Nicolai Stotz** featuring impressive images of the Achertal valley. The program is complemented by a **VW Beetle exhibition**, which adds a special atmosphere. **In Seebach as well**, there is a **diverse program centered on mill culture**—ranging from demonstrations of traditional craftsmanship to guided tours of the Silbergründle ore tunnel. Between Ottenhöfen and Seebach, the Water-Mill-Technology Trail connects the various stops and invites visitors to enjoy an eventful hike.
