Where Vienna is most Viennese, the Balkans meet the stage – loud, captivating, and full of humor. For 28 years, Slavko Ninić has been bringing the sound of Southeast Europe to the city and far beyond with the Wiener Tschuschenkapelle. Born as a self-ironic trademark from the derogatory term "Tschusch," the band today stands for the diversity, vibrancy, and openness of Vienna.

The five musicians combine traditional melodies from Balkan countries, Turkish-Arabic-Oriental tunes, Greek Rembetiko, Bosnian Sevdalinka, Viennese songs, Gypsy jazz, and even classical sounds into an original, humorous, and unmistakable sound tapestry. Each performance is a celebration of improvisation, joy of life, and musical originality that captivates the audience from the very first note.

The Wiener Tschuschenkapelle is more than just a band: for decades, it has represented integration, cultural exchange, and critical awareness – always with charm, wit, and a sense of the right dose of humor.
