Unplugged, acoustic, reduced... Ambros pur! has been consistently successful for over ten years. Full houses, a direct connection to the audience, the songs presented in a stripped-down manner, and a Wolfgang Ambros who clearly feels comfortable in this setup. It is commendable that Wolfgang Ambros does not try for a second to cover up the aging process. The rock 'n' roller who once filled the Wiener Stadthalle to the brim multiple times has transformed into the singer-songwriter who now gives his songs a framework that only classics deserve. Wolfgang sits on a stool, speaks, plays, and sings. And it is simply wonderful to watch and listen to him.

For the sixth time, Ambros is now on the road "pur." He started back then with his long-time friend, keyboardist Günter Dzikowski, in a duo. Wolfgang on guitar, Günter on the keys. For the past year and a half, they have been a trio. Roland "Roli" Vogl enriches the arrangements with his guitar, bass, ukulele, and whatever else he plucks, strikes, or brushes during the program on stage.
