The culinary month in the Salzkammergut begins with a special kick-off: the event "Salt in the Soup," which will take place this year at the EQ restaurant in St. Wolfgang. In a charming atmosphere, regional producers will present their high-quality food products and offer insights into their craftsmanship – from fine dishes to freshly made products that can be tasted on-site. A central highlight of the evening: The Tourism School Bad Ischl will cook live with the ingredients from the producers and create innovative dishes that impressively showcase the culinary potential of the Salzkammergut. This is where authentic craftsmanship meets youthful talent and innovative culinary art. All seven regions of the Salzkammergut will be represented – each with a producer from the respective destination. This will tastefully highlight the diversity of the region and make it immediately experienceable for guests. The kick-off event invites visitors to rediscover the culinary identity of the Salzkammergut, meet the producers in person, and embark on a delightful event year together.
