5. Blaufränkischland Marathon

The Blaufränkischland Marathon is set to take place on October 3, 2026, for the fourth time! It’s the perfect event to combine exquisite regional cuisine with athletic activity! The goal is not necessarily to reach the finish line in record time. Instead, the focus is on enjoying together while being active.

SPECIAL FEATURE OF THE BLAUFRÄNKISCHLAND MARATHON
A special highlight is the colorful participant field: Many runners compete in original costumes, bringing lots of fun and good cheer – even for the spectators. The most creative outfits will be awarded by a jury and rewarded with attractive prizes.

FACTS ABOUT THE RACE
When? Saturday, October 3, 2026
Where? Start and finish: Deutschkreutz, in front of the New Middle School
Bib number distribution: Saturday, October 3, from 7:30 AM until 30 minutes before the start of the booked event
Start of events (running or walking): from 8:30 AM
Finish time: 4:00 PM

EVENTS & START TIMES
8:30 AM: Start Block A - Marathon (42 km)
9:00 AM: Start Block B - Half Marathon (21.3 km)
9:30 AM: Start Block C - Half Marathon (21.3 km)
10:00 AM: Start Block D - Quarter Marathon (10.4 km)
10:30 AM: Start Block E - Quarter Marathon (10.4 km)
11:00 AM: Start Block G - Quarter Marathon (10.4 km)
12:00 PM: Start Block H - Eighth Marathon (5.7 km)

At the refreshment stations along the routes, there will be wine tastings and culinary delights for all participants, as well as water and grape juice. On the marathon and half marathon routes, there will also be classic refreshment stations with water and isotonic drinks.

FRAME PROGRAM IN THE START/FINISH AREA
Up to 13 refreshment stations alternate with classic refreshment stations
Wine tastings and culinary delights for all participants at the refreshment stations, water and isotonic drinks at the refreshment stations
Moderation and DJ from 8:00 AM
Start of the running events from 9:00 AM
Varied supporting program for participants and spectators with beverage stands, food trucks, and much more
Award ceremony at 3:30 PM in the festival tent “After Run Party” with live music starting at 4:30 PM
