Family Workshop "Felting and Dyeing" at the Lauresham Open-Air Laboratory

During a tour of the Lauresham Open-Air Laboratory, we also focus on our old sheep breed. There, we will learn quite a bit about the raw material wool. Raw wool can be processed in various ways. Wet felting is one of the ancient techniques. By rolling the wool with water and soap, felt fabric is created. We will try out the technique of wet felting ourselves and create small souvenirs. To add a bit of color to the process, we will also dye a strand of wool using plant-based dyes from the dye garden.
