What happens when the authenticity of South Slavic folk music meets the sophistication of classical composition, the energy of rock, and the clear thinking of Bartók? The unmistakable Söndörgő sound is born – virtuosic, lively, always in motion, yet full of humor.

Four of the five musicians come from the same family: three brothers and a cousin from the legendary Hungarian musical family Eredics. Inspired by the legendary Vujicsics Ensemble, they bring the heritage of South Slavic folk music into the present with curiosity, a love for improvisation, and technical brilliance.

Their current album Gyezz (recorded with jazz saxophonist Chris Potter) has stormed the international charts and has been chosen as number one twice – on the World Music Charts Europe and the Songlines Charts. Jazzwise called them “authentic preservers and at the same time radical renewers of South Slavic music.”

For their 30th anniversary, Söndörgő invites you on a new sonic journey – with fresh pieces, great emotions, and plenty of joy in playing. Balkan meets the future – and the energy is guaranteed to be contagious.

Áron Eredics - Tambura, Derbuka, vocals, Benjamin Eredics - Tambura, trumpet, vocals, Dávid Eredics - clarinet, saxophone, kaval, tambura, vocals, Salamon Eredics - accordion, shepherd's flute, tambura, Attila BUZÁS - tambura, tapan, vocals.
