The Catalan singer, clarinetist, and composer Carola Ortiz, together with multi-instrumentalist Àlex Guitart, invites you on a fascinating musical journey through ancient Iberia.

Their duo combines centuries-old ballads, Pandero songs, Ahechaos, and Vetlatori dances with a modern, feminine perspective – sensual, earthy, and full of tonal colors.

At the center is Carola Ortiz's compelling voice, intertwined with Iberian and Oriental instruments. This creates a fine balance between tradition and contemporary sound art – with space for improvisation, electronic textures, and modal harmonies.

The project forms the core of her album Cantareras, which was counted among the best European world music releases of 2024. It is a meeting of cultures, stories, and moods – and a concert that deeply resonates.
