We warmly invite you to the book presentation of "Never Silent" with author Sandra Pioro. Moderation: Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dominik Markl SJ. Sandra Pioro shares her personal story as a member of a generation often referred to as the "war grandchildren." She embarks on a quest to uncover her family's history, which originally hails from Poland. Coming to terms with the full extent of her father's suffering, who survived several concentration camps, leads her to a new understanding of this distant father, and she can now view his disappearance in 1991 in a different light. With each new piece of information that the author uncovers, she not only breaks the silence of her family but also confronts her own memories, chapter by chapter, working towards her own identity: as the daughter of an Auschwitz survivor, as an artist, and as a Jewish woman.
