Recreation - Oboe Magic

When three oboes sing together, a sound is created that goes straight to the heart. On May 4 and 5, 2026, the Recreation Orchestra, conducted by Alfredo Bernardini, will bring this magic to the Minoritensaal in Graz. Featuring works specifically composed for this unique ensemble. The internationally celebrated oboist and specialist in historical performance practice will gather baroque masterpieces from Vienna, Eisenach, and Zerbst for this occasion. The program begins with an overture by the Styrian court composer Johann Joseph Fux, followed by Bach's Concerto for Oboe d’amore, which touches with its calmness and elegance. Telemann's colorful Concerto for three Oboes and three Violins unfolds vibrant dialogues, while Fasch's overture with bassoon and strings showcases the sonic depth of baroque ensemble music.
