Hessian Switzerland - hiking in the borderland

From Meinhard-Hitzelrode, you will hike uphill to the Gobert ridge. Up there lies the Green Belt, today a border area between Hesse and Thuringia. Here, you can find rare natural treasures such as various orchids, Turk's cap lilies, and cross flowers.
Duration: approx. 5 hours, approx. 8 km
At first, the trail is steep, but we will manage it at a leisurely pace. Please wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring packed food. Only after the hike is it possible to stop for refreshments.
