With hurdy-gurdy, hang, accordion, and percussion instruments, "street music," dance orphanages from past eras, as well as original compositions are performed. The trio finds ample space for the spontaneous art of improvisation within all of this, creating syntheses of contemporary dance and style elements (world music, tango, bossa, …).
As a listener, one soon feels invited to dance—or to a distant dream! Afro-Asian rhythms are just as much a part of the trio's repertoire as "Le petit chien" (the little dog), a piece from the repertoire of ecstatic hurdy-gurdy playing.
This creates a very special atmosphere that captivates the listener, even in the stillness of the event.
Those who believe that this music transports them to another time eventually realize that the musicians are very authentically engaged in their playing here and now, simply because it brings them joy!
Stefan Weiß (hurdy-gurdy, accordion, voice, …), Mecky Pilecky (cajón, djembe, darabukka, …), and Harry Ellinger (hang, balafon, congas, …).
