Who hasn't dreamed of exciting safaris and magnificent sunsets in the African savannah? - In the world-famous wildlife parks of South Africa, you can see this breathtaking wildlife, and after the safari, you can wind down the day on the porch of a lodge with a sundowner. - Longing? - In South Africa, this dream quickly becomes a reality. Photographer and adventurer Michael Fleck has been living this dream with his family since the early 1990s. In his latest LIVE multimedia presentation, Michael Fleck shares stories from his last three of many trips to southern Africa. Here, the audience experiences authentic Africa up close. The country expert reports sensitively and passionately about the diverse wildlife, the cheerful people, and the magnificent landscapes. The Flecks embarked on adventurous tours deep into Africa by off-road vehicle, on foot, and on horseback. South Africa is colorful, varied, and surprising. The vibrant metropolis of Cape Town captivates with its positive vibe. With Table Mountain and the Cape Peninsula, it is nestled in a spectacular landscape. Right next door lies Stellenbosch, the mecca for wine lovers. The Kruger National Park is known for its breathtaking wildlife diversity, but safaris in the many smaller nature reserves across the country also offer incredibly exciting opportunities for animal observation. Ostriches, whales, elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, and rhinos can be observed not only in their natural habitat, but active species conservation is also practiced here. Michael Fleck reports exemplarily on the successful measures taken to protect the endangered rhinos. However, the country at the southern tip of Africa has much more to offer - there's plenty to discover! In the South African spring, an incredible play of colors occurs in the normally dry and desert-like region of Namaqualand. Entire regions are now yellow-orange, with wildflowers blooming! The pure feeling of freedom is also experienced on Route 62. It leads over spectacular mountain passes through the charming semi-desert of the Little Karoo to Oudtshoorn, the worldwide center of ostrich farming. The desert regions contrast with the 3,000-kilometer-long coastline, a true paradise for marine life. Especially the Garden Route, with its lush vegetation and rugged cliffs, is one of the most spectacular coastal stretches. The Flecks drove their off-road vehicle up the legendary Sani Pass into the Kingdom of Lesotho. On an adventurous trekking tour with horses, they rode over nearly 3,000-meter-high passes to the most remote mountain villages. At the border with Namibia, the remote Richtersveld National Park is the destination of a strenuous but scenically brilliant off-road route by vehicle. A detour to Zimbabwe to the ruins of Great Zimbabwe and the Matobo National Park showcases the grand landscape, but also the current problematic situation in the country. Brilliant photographs in a 3:1 panorama format and spectacular video sequences, made possible by the use of drones and action cameras, immerse the viewer right in the action. After two years of production, a portrait of South Africa has emerged that is so comprehensive that it surprises and delights even country experts.
