Relax and enjoy delicious treats at the specialty market

The Specialty Market, taking place on June 25–26 on the beautiful monastery grounds in Bad Schussenried, once again puts the joy of eating front and center. From 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., visitors can discover products that are predominantly regional and made with great care. Delicious culinary delights await visitors, reminding them that good food doesn’t require complicated recipes. Rather, it’s all about high-quality, flavorful basic ingredients that are joyfully transformed into fine products.  Even on the way to the gourmet market, the aroma of crispy wild game sausages wafts through the air, but tender steaks, burgers, raclette baguettes, potato rissole, and juicy Dennete sandwiches also give off a scent that builds anticipation for hours of enjoyment in the beautiful setting in front of the monastery with every step. Discerning gourmets know what good food is all about: high-quality ingredients without unnecessary additives, prepared and served to guests with a clear conscience, plenty of love, and great appreciation. This is also the philosophy of the international “Cittaslow” association, of which Bad Schussenried has been a member for many years. Slow down and savor, rather than just quickly satisfying your hunger. And in the process, rediscover the original and authentic flavors anew. The various artisanal cheeses, for example, or flaxseed and hemp oils, which reveal their unique character especially when enjoyed in their purest form.  Herbs from Grandpa’s garden also feature in the recipes. Those who wish can ask the producers at the market stalls for detailed information about the production process and the ingredients used. They look forward to chatting with guests and are happy to share insights into their respective crafts. Smoked trout, fine wines and cocktails, aronia juices, salad bowls, cheese spaetzle, sweet and savory crepes, schnapps made from secret recipes, and much more will be on offer this evening. Of course, the Reichenau Vegetable Ship will also be there. Mayor Erwin Promoli will personally welcome guests at 6 p.m. Allgäu Cheese Queen Hannah Sust has also confirmed her attendance. She will bring fine cheese appetizers and, of course, let visitors share in the treat. The Amorados will provide the musical backdrop for this delightful evening. The dance and party band has a fan base far beyond Bad Schussenried and once again brings a colorful repertoire of performances.
