Barbara Blaha - Spark Sisters

Barbara Blaha knows what she is talking about. Growing up as a child of a working-class family with many siblings but little money, she is familiar with the feeling of being overlooked. Her previous stage programs have been an overwhelming success: thousands have already seen her, and every performance was sold out. In her new program "Funkenschwestern" and the book of the same name, she combines personal stories with numbers, facts, and studies, showing why economic issues are always feminist issues as well. She makes visible why women are less likely to be in leadership positions, are interrupted more often, and are paid less. She points out that in industries with a high percentage of women, wages decrease, and even a full-time job does not protect against the second unpaid shift at home.
