Museumsplatz 1, 4662 Laakirchen
Loud, captivating, and full of humor. For almost 30 years, Slavko Ninić and the Wiener Tschuschenkapelle have been bringing the sound of Southeast Europe to Vienna and far beyond. What began as a self-ironic name derived from the derogatory term "Tschusch" now stands for the diversity, openness, and joy of life in the city. The five musicians mix music from the Balkan countries with Turkish, Greek, and Arabic sounds, Viennese songs, Gypsy jazz, and even classical music. Every performance is a celebration – spontaneous, energetic, and full of zest for life. The Wiener Tschuschenkapelle is more than just a band: for many years, it has represented solidarity, cultural exchange, and the fine Viennese wit. Whether in a small club, a large theater, or even the Vienna State Opera – their music connects tradition and modernity, seriousness and lightheartedness, Vienna and the world. An evening with the Wiener Tschuschenkapelle is thrilling, witty, and touching – a musical experience that resonates. An event in cooperation with the Gmunden Festival.
