The spirit of the 1950s was characterized by a special lightness and optimism. The economic miracle gave people the freedom to dream again, to enjoy, to heal the wounds of the past, and to look towards a better future. Amidst the reconstruction after the dark years of World War II, music flourished—especially the hits! Songs like "PACK DIE BADEHOSE EIN," "DIE CAPRIFISCHER," and "ICH WILL KEINE SCHOKOLADE" were not only a delight to the ears but also became the voice of an entire generation! Teenagers twirled their petticoats on the dance floor to the hot rhythms of Elvis Presley and Bill Haley, dreaming of their first Vespa! And since we are convinced that we could all use a big dose of joy in times like these, and there are still so many wonderful melodies that we couldn't fit into our program last summer, there is now a second part!
