Music: Waidele's Friends of Conversation

Together, they represent a blend of jazz, soul, and rhythm & blues that invites both listening and dancing. The group first performed publicly under the name Waidele’s Conversation in 1988 at the Kulturufer Friedrichshafen — at that time still in a big band formation. Many years and countless performances later, the band’s unmistakable sound is more vibrant than ever. Although their 40th anniversary is long behind them, the musicians continue to exude energy, joy of playing, and dedication. Still sitting at the drums is a founding member: Alex Friedrich. The other companions have also been part of the journey for decades and shape the band’s distinctive sound. Together, they represent a mix of jazz, soul, and rhythm & blues that invites both listening and dancing. Jürgen Waidele himself, singer, pianist, and driving force of the band, still moves the audience with his voice and stage presence. Sometimes his interpretations remind one of great soul legends like Otis Redding or Wilson Pickett, while at other times he bridges to more modern grooves. Line-up: Alex Friedrich (Drums) founding member; Arno Haas (Saxophone) has been part of the group for over 35 years; Ad Schwarz (Guitar) has accompanied the band for around 25 years; Eric Ruby (Bass) was already active in the 1990s for over ten years and is now returning; Jürgen Waidele (Vocals) "the Waidele," the band leader.
