Dive into the Self - Workshop

As part of the 43rd Baden-Württemberg Literature Days in Bad Mergentheim, there will be a workshop on the topic of biographical writing with Anja Hirsch. There are times in life when one wants to pause and reflect. Where am I? Where do I come from? Where do I want to go? Writing helps to focus. Even those who write only occasionally or not at all are warmly welcome in this workshop. When one begins to write, they start to tell stories and make discoveries, not least about themselves. The course provides a framework for discussion and appreciation of this exciting process. Of course, it also addresses the technical aspects of writing. What does perspective mean? How does a character become more vivid? We will experiment with different forms and marvel at the small text or even just the beautiful word that delights us. Additionally, aspects of Life-Script biographical work according to Liane Dirks will be incorporated. All of this will take place in a supportive atmosphere that we will create together. Course leader Anja Hirsch is an author, journalist, literary scholar, and Life-Script coach. She presented her novel "What Remained of Dora" in Bad Mergentheim in 2021.
