"Among Animals – A Wildlife Park Evening About and With Wolf, Sheep, and Donkey"

As part of the 43rd Baden-Württemberg Literature Days, open-air discussions about and with the wolf, sheep, and donkey will take place in the Wildpark. Of course, the wolf is the star of the Mergentheim Wildpark! But aren’t the sheep and donkey perhaps the stars of our hearts? In any case, they all evoke something in us; we immediately have images of these three animals in our minds and feelings in our bellies. Culturally, they have all left their mark during centuries of coexistence with us humans. There is certainly enough material for three volumes that have been published in the beautiful "Animal Studies" series by Matthes & Seitz Berlin: finely illustrated cultural stories that tell much about the animals, but perhaps even more about ourselves. Let yourself be captivated by Petra Ahne (wolf), Eckhard Fuhr (sheep), and Jutta Person (donkey) as they share live stories about what makes these four-legged friends so special, right in front of the respective animals. The questions will be posed by Katrin Schumacher (who is, by the way, a recognized expert on foxes!). And since an empty stomach is not keen on listening, the forest tavern in the Wildpark will provide you with a delicious snack included in the price.
