Donate blood now and secure the supply together. Based on a 5-day week, approximately 15,000 blood donations are needed daily in Germany to ensure the healthcare system is supplied with essential blood products. Empty donation beds can become a problem! Every blood donation counts right now! The German Red Cross (DRK) is calling for blood donations. Want to donate blood? It's that simple:
1. Reserve your desired appointment online and drink plenty (non-alcoholic) on the day of donation.
2. Register on-site with your ID.
3. Fill out the medical questionnaire.
4. Have a brief medical conversation and a small lab check.
5. The blood donation: about 500ml of blood is taken, which only takes 5 to 10 minutes.
6. Rest and enjoy delicious snacks after the donation.
