Cabaret with Madness, Wit, Reality, and a Lot of Self-Discovery

In the program "Psycho," everything revolves around the everyday psychos we encounter daily: in the office, at the supermarket checkout, or at family gatherings. They appear completely normal at first glance—until you take a closer look.
The evening is hosted by influencer Vanessa-Michelle, known from the first cabaret program by Eichberger and Niemand: "Gemeindebau."
With high self-confidence and a low IQ, she moderates this special talk show where the psychos are the guests. Amid "authentic" confessions, life hacks, and emotional breakdowns, Vanessa-Michelle tries to keep her composure.
Her guests are quite something:
...the phobic person who breaks into a sweat at the sight of doors,
...the football fanatic who only thinks and speaks in club colors,
...the esotericism lover who predicts the future for the audience, and many more!
Not all psychos wear white coats. Some sit across from us on the bus, stand in line ahead of us—or perhaps even share the same bed.
"Psycho" is dedicated to the charmingly quirky sides of completely normal people and shows that madness is often just another form of everyday life.
The program lovingly examines the little craziness of being human—without finger-pointing, but with plenty of winks.
Because those who are honest will find themselves reflected in more than one of these characters.
"Psycho" is a humorous assessment of our neurotic society—funny, sharply observed, and frighteningly familiar.
An evening full of recognition, fine observations, and good cheer—for everyone who has always known: "Normal" is not a solution either.
About Eichberger and Niemand
Eichberger and Niemand is a voice of the new cabaret generation: multifaceted, fearless, and hilarious.
Behind the duo is Barbara Eichberger—a comedienne with heart and soul, so versatile that it's hard to believe.
After many years in small theater, as a member of several improv groups, and as part of the duo Eichberger & Hnidek, she launched her solo career in 2025.
Just a few months into her solo act, she won the cabaret talent show and the audience award at the Burgenland Cabaret Prize.
In addition to her artistic work, she is a mother of a toddler, the educational director of the Academy for Theater Craft of the Austrian Federal Theaters—and a positive person who is simply enjoyable to work with.
"Psycho" is her second solo program.
