The State Gallery of Lower Austria is home to visual artists from Lower Austria. A fixed part of the annual exhibition program is the presentation of the Lower Austrian award winners in the field of visual arts.
CULTURAL AWARDS FOR GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS AND INITIATIVES
Since 1960, the State of Lower Austria has awarded cultural prizes for significant achievements and initiatives. In various categories – from architecture to music to adult education – recognition and commendation prizes are awarded annually by expert juries. They reflect the wide range of artistic creation in Lower Austria. The awards also emphasize the regional significance of the award winners.
In parallel to the solo exhibition in Krems, the Documentation Center for Modern Art in St. Pölten showcases the recipients of the recognition award.
