TOURDATA

Eisenstraße 75, 4462 Reichraming

The "Zöbelboden" in the Reichraminger Hintergebirge is a centerpiece of ecological long-term research in Europe. The mountain forest habitat on carbonate rock is particularly sensitive to climate change and air pollution. Many pollutants are transported over large distances, but some of the burdens are also "homegrown." Since 1992, the Federal Environment Agency has been investigating the impact of pollutant inputs in forests at Zöbelboden. The results from the measurements show the air quality in the Kalkalpen National Park, the effectiveness of international air quality agreements, and the effects of climate change on mountain forests.
