Saturday Music | the flutamies

The ensemble dedicates its program to the forest and the mystique it brings. It features three- and four-part pieces from the Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque, and contemporary times, complemented by free improvisations and small solo pieces. The music revolves around nature, nymphs, fairies, and various bird songs. The highlight of the program is the contemporary piece "Idyll" by Ryohei Hirose, in which a rise and fall of different sounds slightly unsettles the paradise that has been established. Finally, the audience is led back to the forest idyll, from which we bid farewell with a lively dance of the forest dwellers to the "Tourdion" by Pierre Attaignant.
