Heiligenkreuz Monastery Market

On May 1st, the popular Heiligenkreuz Monastery Market will once again open its doors. On-site, visitors can look forward to organic specialties, handicrafts, and a colorful supporting program for both young and old.

Around 30 monasteries and religious communities from Austria and other countries will showcase their products – from fine monastery wines to organic specialties, as well as handicrafts and the popular monastery beer from the Stiftsbrauerei Schlägl. During the monastery market, special tours of the grand carillon and guided tours of the monastery will be available, and visitors can also participate in the choir prayers in the abbey church.

Guests can also look forward to a vibrant supporting program.

Children and teenagers will enjoy various rides, while sweet-toothed visitors and gourmets can indulge in different culinary highlights, such as our regional game specialties or the famous monastery cream slice from the monastery inn. In the arcades, you can watch Father Meinrad demonstrate woodturning and discover great books at the large book flea market in the Kaisersaal with Father Florian.

Of course, music will also be part of the event! Musical entertainment will be provided, among others, by the Heiligenkreuz music band.
