Belchen Mountain Run

The Belchen Mountain Run organized by TuS Schönau is celebrating its 20th anniversary and is once again part of the prestigious Black Forest Mountain Running Cup series. The starting signal will be given at 1 PM on Talstraße in Schönau. All running enthusiasts from near and far will have the unique opportunity to test their endurance in this breathtaking mountain landscape and showcase their abilities in this mountain run. The exciting question remains whether the course record of 47 minutes and 51 seconds, set by Lukas Ehrle in 2023, will be broken. The route covers 11.4 kilometers from the Schönau Town Hall to the Belchenhaus, challenging runners with an elevation gain of 824 meters. Along the route, which is 80 percent through open terrain with picturesque pastures, participants will enjoy stunning views over the Black Forest all the way to the Alps. Interested individuals can explore and train on the course year-round, as it is marked with white trail signs. Now it's time to be quick and register! All running enthusiasts are warmly invited to participate in this unique competition. After the run, all participants will gather around 4 PM in the multipurpose hall in Schönau for the festive award ceremony. A free return transport with the Belchen cable car and buses will be available for all runners to conveniently get back from the Belchenhaus to the valley. In addition to the sporting honor, attractive prizes await the participants. Spectators are warmly invited to cheer on the runners along the entire route and celebrate together at the award ceremony in the multipurpose hall.
