Florian Boesch, one of the most important bass baritones in the world, has teamed up with the legendary East Tyrolean Musicbanda Franui for a reinterpretation of Franz Schubert's song cycle. Florian Boesch, who was nominated for a Grammy Award for his recording of "Die schöne Müllerin," is accompanied in this version by the instrumentation of the Musicbanda, which ranges from tuba to dulcimer, accordion, and harp.

Franui has been performing together in the same lineup for 30 years and has conquered the music world with their incomparable sound from Innervillgraten. Like Florian Boesch, they have also performed at the Bregenz Festival, the Ruhrtriennale, and the Salzburg Festival, among others. Together, they create a completely new interpretation of the song cycle, giving the feelings of the wandering apprentice new dimensions and depth.
