Sounding Islands: John Jones Oysterband

The Oysterband is a legendary British folk-rock band, founded in 1976 in Canterbury. For all the "die-hard fans" of the Oysterband and for anyone who appreciates solid British music with a socially critical background and a general interest in British roots music, there is reason to celebrate! Oysterband lead singer and accordionist John Jones, cellist and bassist Ray Cooper, and producer Al Scott have formed a trio that will go on tour with Oysterband classics and selections from the solo works of John & Chopper, and will also be coming to Austria and Hohenems in October 2026!
