20. Alpine Peace Crossing - Commemorative Hike

We will announce the motto and the exact program schedule at the beginning of February. Sunday, July 5, 2026, starting at 6:00 AM:
Memorial Hike
During our memorial hike, we will follow the traces of the flight from 1947 and cross the Krimmler Tauern, hiking all the way to Kasern in South Tyrol/Alto Adige.
The hike leads through high alpine terrain up to an altitude of 2,634 m. The pure walking time is approximately 8 hours. Appropriate fitness, weather protection, drinks, snacks, and hiking poles are required! Alternatively, two shorter, less strenuous options are available, which will turn back before crossing the pass. Please note that you must choose one of the options when registering, and no last-minute changes are possible, as we need to plan the respective transfers with taxis and buses in advance.
