The Hengstpass offers an extraordinary variety of magnificent orchids and other plants in June. Rarely do so many species grow in such a small area. We will introduce you to this fascinating plant family and their highly specialized way of life. After the tour, there will be an opportunity to stop at one of the managed alpine pastures and huts at Hengstpass. Meeting point: Parking lot at Hengstpass near Karlhütte, by the large wooden horse "Hengsti" (between Karlhütte and Puglalm) Group size: 15 Time & Duration: 09:30 AM to 01:00 PM, approximately 3.5 hours (actual walking time about 2 hours) Ranger: Angelika Stückler Equipment: Weatherproof clothing, hiking shoes, a small snack and drink, camera recommended.
