In the Kalkalpen National Park, red deer roam freely all year round. In autumn, it is mating season - during this time, powerful calls echo through the mountain forests at dusk. The stags now seek the company of the females and engage in displays of strength with their rivals. Accompanied by a national park ranger, you will experience the loud natural spectacle of the deer rut. Meeting point: Parking lot Scheiblingau (about 20 km from Molln towards Breitenau) Time & duration: 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM Duration approximately 4-5 hours (pure walking time 2 ½ hours, slight incline on forest road) Ranger: Eric Mitterhauser Info: Suitable for children aged 8 and older. Free participation in scheduled events with the Pyhrn-Priel Card Equipment: Weatherproof, warm clothing, hiking shoes, flashlight, seating pad, and binoculars Please note that bringing dogs on this tour is unfortunately not possible.
