About the play:
Where better to philosophize about the fidelity of men and the love and patience of women than in a bar? Aga desperately needs a drink; she and her lover have just been attacked by a wild stranger with a shoe. This stranger is named Barbara, and she also comes to the bar to drown her sorrows in whiskey. The bartender behind the counter first serves as a patient listener, then as an advisor and comforter, and finally as a scapegoat.
